The seminar will also examine best practices and skills needed in managing youth and youth behaviour. 1. Introduction 1.1 Training is part of an education process which is important status in development of people. It is a process that stimulates both trainers and learners in a common learning situation. The focus is on conscious learning in building up competencies, skills and attitudes, thus enabling an individual to contribute effectively to society and be able to understand oneself in terms of capabilities and talents. 1.2 Training is the responsibility of three partners: the participant’s organization, the participants and the training organisation. Thus training of trainers is based on a belief that acquisition of subject knowledge by participants leads to action and individual actions leads to improvement on the job. Training is where the capacity of the participants to learn and his or her ability as a trainer to teach will be measured and further improved. 1.3 Since the Five-year Blueprint for IYC programmes for 2006 – 2010 was formulated in 2005, IYC had organized three international programmes based on youth values: “International Workshop On Universal Values For Youth Leaders”, 14-19 May, 2006; “International Workshop On Youth Values Development”, 18-25 March 2007 and “International Seminar On Managing Youth Behaviour”, 22-29 June 2008. The programmes covered topics on noble values, development issues and leadership in managing youth behaviour. 1.4 A training course for trainers in noble youth values is identified to be the follow-up of the three international programmes on youth values development, where emphasis will be on pre-training, training and post training on youth development. 2.
