Police are currently investigating the death of 22-year-old, Dwayne Mason aka “Ala” of Bois Patat, Castries, who was shot about 2:45pm on Sunday the 5th of June, 2011 at Bois Patat.

+ Youth Council’s issues with Youth Centre
ALTHOUGH Minister of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education Fazal Karim has sought to allay fears regarding the future of the El Dorado Youth Development and Apprenticeship Centre, which will be transferred to his ministry from the Sports Ministry, the Trinidad Youth Council (TYC) still have concerns about this move.

EDUCATION Minister Dr Tim Gopeesingh yesterday admitted that violence among children at the nation’s schools is prevalent and the recent incident in which one female student of the Barataria North Secondary School mercilessly beat another female student in a drain as “disturbing.”
