Youth Action for Change (YAC) is looking for two talented and motivated individuals to join our team of dedicated volunteers in helping young people make a difference in communities in over 130 countries world wide.
YAC is offering a challenging and interesting opportunity which will see the applicant gain hands on experience in international development working together with YAC’s experienced team and its worldwide partner organizations and exposure to grass-roots development as well.

Job Description:


Work as part of YAC’s online course management team to manage the logistics of delivering our award wining free online courses
Maintaining instructor database and future student databases
Recruiting of new instructors and students and running new courses
Selection of students for courses
Assisting teachers with online course development
Tracking of past students and potential project developments. Documentation of findings. Mentoring past students on projects
Quality control of courses

Strategic and creative input into overall management

Position Title Online Course Manager – Youth Action for Change

Overview An opportunity to play an integral role in the development of Youth Action for Change, with the responsibility of managing YAC’s pioneering, and award winning online education courses.

Position Description

• Work as part of YAC’s online course management team to manage the logistics of delivering our award wining free online courses
• Maintaining instructor database and future student databases
• Recruiting of new instructors and students and running new courses
• Selection of students for courses
• Assisting teachers with online course development
• Tracking of past students and potential project developments. Documentation of findings. Mentoring past students on projects.
• Quality control of courses
• Strategic and creative input into overall management

Reporting to Strategy/Development Manager & Current Course Managers

Estimated Commitment Negotiable. Preferably 4-8 hours per week for a minimum of 1 year

Experience & Skills Required

• Relevant bachelor’s degree or at least enrolled in a degree program.
• At least 1 year of experience working with disadvantaged communities, or non-profit organizations
• Skills in event management, administration or organizing are valued.
• Good written communication skills in English. Other languages are a bonus.
• Good awareness of international and humanitarian issues
• A passion and interest in development, peace and conflict resolution
