Tragic loss of son drives woman's efforts to help youth
Nigel Hodge would have been 27 on Friday. .. In 1994, the sixth-grader came home complaining about a lump under his arm. He died 38 days later. Nigel had Hodgkin's disease - a serious but treatable form of cancer. His death was caused by a chemotherapy overdose, and his mother, Josephine Hodge, struggled to make sense of the accident after he was gone.
