The call for applications for the third round of the UNAIDS Special Youth Programme (SYP) is now open on the UNAIDS on-line website. The programme consists of a 5 month fellowship at UNAIDS Geneva Headquarters followed by a 4 month fellowship at the UNAIDS country office in the fellow's country of origin.

The objective of the Programme is to help engage youth from developing countries (especially young people living with HIV) in policy development and programming as  well as strengthening their leadership skills in order to contribute to the AIDS response.

This year, 3 fellows for the SYP will be selected to join the programme. Please bear in mind that the application deadline is 12 February. As in the past two years, relevant UCOs and HQ teams interested in mentoring a fellow will be involved in the selection process.

Finally, UNAIDS will soon be offering several 6 month remunerated internships at their UCOs. If your country office is interested and has the capacity to mentor an intern from your country, please let them know as soon as possible.
