The Latin America and Caribbean Development Marketplace (LAC DM) is seeking organizations (“service providers”) with the potential to provide capacity building support to the participants in the 2010 LAC DM Competition.
Identifying Organizations to Provide Capacity Building Services
The 2010 LAC Development Marketplace is a competitive grant program administered by the World Bank in collaboration with sponsors (see below). The competition aims to identify innovative ideas and projects under key subthemes and funding windows. Following a selection process, small grants will be distributed to successful applicants.
The partners have agreed on this year’s theme of “Youth Entrepreneurship” and will issue a call for proposals in late July 2009. As part of this process, applicants will be asked to identify their capacity building needs. A voucher mechanism will be used to allow them to access services from recognized providers.
If your organization is interested in applying to provide these services, and to be included in communications with potential grant winners, you are invited to read the attached Note and to compete the online survey. Please note that the sponsors do not guarantee that they will be able to include all applicants in this program.
Additionally, we would like to invite your organization to help us identify young entrepreneurs and youth-led/youth-focused organizations as potential applicants for the Latin America and the Caribbean Development Marketplace grant competition and to distribute communications concerning the competition throughout your networks.
