These awards are available to young people in the UK that have a project (or idea for a project!) that is empowering, inspiring and replicable, and which will help to improve the community and/or the lives of others.

If you want some feedback from your Desk Officer you should send your application before 10th of March. Here at Peace Child we are not only interested in providing you with funding, but we want to ensure we work with you to improve your project proposal and to support your team in the implementation of the project.

II. £20,000 of "Rediscover Your Heart" Awards available for inspiring and empowering projects/ideas in from young people in the UK, Spring 2009.

Dear friends in the UK

We are excited to tell you about the Rediscover Your Heart Awards, which our friend, the humanitarian and philanthropist Fred Matser has just announced! These awards are available to young people in the UK that have a project (or idea for a project!) that is empowering, inspiring and replicable, and which will help to improve the community and/or the lives of others.

TWENTY Rediscover Your Heart Awards of £1000 each will be offered to the most inspiring and innovative of these projects, and will be awarded at the launch event for Fred's book, 'Rediscover Your Heart: 7 Keys for Personal and Planetary Transformation'(being published by Findhorn Press), on April 23, 2009 in central London.

Young people are especially encouraged to apply, although there is no age limit for these awards. All applicants must provide references and identification details along with their application and proposals will be checked for authenticity and realistic achievement.

The final deadline for applications is March 17, 2009 but please note the application process will be closed once the first 100 applications are received. So don't delay in applying and please check on the website that the process is still open before sending in your application.

A panel comprised of representatives from the Peace Child Youth Advisory Board, the Fred Foundation and other sponsors will be judging the applications. Successful awardees will be notified by April 10, 2009, and will be expected to attend the presentation of the awards at the book launch on April 23.
