Dominican government must provide more environmental education PDF Print E-mail

Civic movement Tiempo Verde, which has no political party affiliations, is calling on the government to take urgent measures to raise awareness of the need to preserve the environment, across a number of sectors. Dominican Republic.

Tiempo Verde president Winston Vásquez warned that a joint effort was needed to tackle environmental problems, which is not a problem for a sector but for all humanity.

He described his movement as an environmentalist group with a clear vision on fighting and reporting environmental crimes in all shapes and form.

As part of their responsibilities, Vásquez said that the group had started giving workshops, seminars, lectures, and especially lobbying the Dominican authorities to implement environmental, health and education programs.
