Caribbean Youth Week 2007 Information PDF Print E-mail
Over the years, congregations in the Church of the Nazarene have observed NYI’s Youth Week by hosting weekend Youth revivals, unique midweek experiences, retreats, dinners and meals, Friday night activities, and special services on Global Youth Evangelism Offering Sunday to commemorate the importance of Youth. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every Local Church would spend an entire week focusing on their Youth? Just imagine the results!

Each year the Church of the Nazarene proclaims one full week in February as “Youth Week”. The tradition continues this year in February with Youth Week scheduled for Feb. 11-18, ending with the Global Youth Evangelism Offering on Sunday February 18th. (If there are dates that are more appropriate for your Church, feel free to change the schedule as needed.)  Regardless of the date, NYI is seeking 100% participation in every Nazarene Church around the world. This year, let’s celebrate the Youth of the Church, not just on the weekend, but throughout the entire week!
Some Churches might want to rearrange the midweek service to focus on Youth. Others might hold special Youth Dinners or invite each youth to a member’s home for a special meal. Let’s all join together to do as much as we can to let Nazarene Youth know how much the Church loves them and cares about their lives. NYI believes that Youth Week can be an event that changes the hearts of thousands of youth, drawing them closer to Jesus and the Church.

We have prepared a host of resources, from lessons and activities and a poster and even a sermon, to help you plan and carry out a successful Youth Week.  They can be downloaded from here.

The global Youth Evangelism Offering helps to fund Nazarene Youth International as it provides valuable ministry and resources to today’s Youth. All funds received are used to further the work of NYI’s ministries, programs, events, resources, and training around the world. This is the only special offering received during the year that is used directly for Youth ministry. NYI is able to remain effective as you continue to support Youth ministry through the giving of your local church. Please work through your District NYI President to send your offering to the Regional NYI Office.  For questions, you can write to us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

It is our prayer that Youth Week 2007 will be a landmark event in every Nazarene Church . More than just an ‘annual obligation’, we want it to be a week that will launch the Local Church into an inter-generational ministry, joining the church hand in hand for the cause of Christ. Our desire is that Youth Week will involve the entire church - children, youth, and adults of all ages in a variety of activities. We, the Church, want to celebrate our youth and the amazing work that God is doing in and through them. We also want to recognize their contributions to, and their position in, the local body of believers.
