Young Tunisian and Moroccan students use digital tools to present their hometowns PDF Print E-mail
unescoWithin the framework of a sub-regional ICT centre for youth, the UNESCO Office in Rabat organized a training course "Young Digital Creators DigiArts" for the North African countries.

"Scenes and sounds of my city" was the theme of this training session, which had for objective to develop the artistic capacity of young people through the use of digital tools and to create a space for dialogue about the issues of our society.

homeWithin three months, young people from Morocco and Tunisia used the dedicated web platform to share ideas on their urban spaces. It allowed them to rediscover the cities they live in and to create digital art inspired by the scenes and sounds of their hometowns.

Despite living in an increasingly globalised society, many of us still have very little idea about the everyday lives of people in other countries. The blogs and websites created by the participants of the training illustrate various facets of their everyday life and provide an opportunity to discover what it would be like to live in another city.
