Banking opportunities for Anguilla's youth PDF Print E-mail

THE VALLEY, Anguilla: Young persons in Anguilla with a keen interest in banking as a career option, now have an opportunity to fulfill that goal through an initiative of FirstCaribbean International Bank.

The Bank has introduced a graduate recruitment and training programme, called CareerFirst.

The CareerFirst Programme offers an opportunity for individuals to develop business and technical knowledge and capability, gaining critical work skills and valuable knowledge from working in a complex international organizational environment.

The programme is a highly structured, quick-paced training activity, which will provide candidates with grounding in banking and the financial services.

CareerFirst is open to nationals of the Caribbean ideally between the ages of 20 and 25, who are interested in a career in banking or the financial arena and are recent (2003 - 2005) university graduates with at least a first or second-class honours degree. Persons must also be willing to travel.

Anyone interested in taking part in the programme should visit the Bank’s website at www.firstcaribbeanbank.com, and fill out the form. Those candidates who meet the criteria will be invited to an interview to determine whether they are suitable.

Each individual taking part in CareerFirst Graduate Development programme will undergo two years of fast-track training at FirstCaribbean’s offices throughout sixteen countries in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Belize.
