Health of young men and women has very marked specifications comparing to any other populational sector. So, while children and elderly people deal with numerous and diverse diseases (for which there are treatments, medicines, etc) young people “don’t get ill”, in the classic sense at least, as is shown on the statistics related to diseases medical care. Actually, main causes of young people mortality and mortability have to do with “external causes”, related in almost every case to violence: car accidents, unsafe abortions, homicides and suicides, particularly.

Caribbean Family Planning Affiliation PDF Print E-mail

The Caribbean Family Planning Affiliation (CFPA) is the only regional non-governmental organization devoted to family planning, sexual and reproductive health care in the Caribbean. The CFPA serves 17 island member associations and 5 associate members in the Caribbean, Central and South America by providing them with technical assistance and materials and representing their collective interests at volunteer meetings of the IPPF and in the Caribbean region among governments and NGOs.
