Sub-regional Coordinator for YEN

The YEN Secretariat in Geneva is currently recruiting a "Sub-regional Coordinator" to its YEN Office for West Africa (YEN-WA) in Dakar, Senegal. The mandate of the unit is to raise awareness and to assist in mainstreaming youth employment as both a political and security issue, to facilitate capacity-building both at the national and regional level, and to promote private sector involvement in initiatives for youth employment.

8th MELAKA INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DIALOGUE

The Melaka International Youth Dialogue (MIYD) is an annual programme of the World Assembly of Youth (WAY) which brings together young people and youth leaders from around the world to discuss pertinent youth issues. Since 2001, the MIYD has been convened on a wide range of topical issues. More than 1,500 young people have attended the MIYD since its inception. The MIYD produces a declaration which serves as a guideline for youth to address the selected issues.

WAY - YOUTH BULLETIN FEBRUARY 2008

The World Assembly of Youth (WAY) is the international coordinating body of national youth councils and organisations. The full members of WAY are national youth councils.
